Welcome to St. George’s Church, Hellertown, PA
All are welcome in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
We are a parish of the Episcopal Diocese of Bethlehem. St. George’s is an intimate church community with a mighty mission- to bring souls to God’s saving grace. If you are searching for a community of faith where you can grow in your relationship with God, experience His love and grace in your life, enjoy the fellowship and love of others with a common Christian vision, and work to make a difference in the world by serving others, St. George’s may be the church you’ve been looking for.
We gather every Sunday at 9:30 AM to celebrate the Holy Eucharist. All the baptized, including children, are welcome to receive Holy Communion at the altar rail. The Episcopal Church worships using the Book of Common Prayer, rooted in the richness of ancient Christian Tradition. We sing God’s praises using the Episcopal hymnal supplemented by other hymnals, including Lift Every Voice and Sing.
Christian Education for children is held at 9:15 AM September through May, using the Godly Play program. The Kane Adult class meets bi-monthly after Coffee Hour. During the week, we celebrate Morning Prayer in St. James’ Chapel at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
St. George’s has a strong tradition of service to others. We support the local food bank. We also support local, national and international organizations that assist the poor, including the Heifer Project, and regularly serve meals at Victory House, a shelter for men, in Bethlehem.
You are invited to ‘Come and see!’ May God richly bless you and yours, and thanks so much for visiting!
